The Stocking Cap

Pink and brown are always gorgeous colours to go together, in my opinion anyway! This little hat makes a cute photo prop and was a very easy pattern to boot. It involves jogless stationary stripes and an icord to finish it off. A neat little pom pom can be used on the point or a tassel like I did.

I’ve used Australian Country Spinners Thorobred Acrylic 8 Ply in brown and in pink for this project. It’s not a very soft yarn, has a little bit of harshness about it so that’s why I’m only keeping the hat for prop purposes. I could be corrected on this when it gets a wash. Hopefully it will soften up a little bit.
I knitted it on 2 sets of 6mm circular needles al la Cat Bordhi method (which you can find here). For the jogless stripes, you can find the instructions on the TECHknitting Blog. I have referred to this blog a few times on here and am constantly looking up things on there for myself. Here is the specific blog post for the jogless stripes. For the specific pattern, you can search Ravelry for The Duketer – Stocking Cap or hop straight over to the creators blog hands full of happiness.

Cheers,
alana
