Newborn Beanie knitting Pattern

One of my many projects that I have on the go is a knitted newborn beanie. I have only been knitting for about 6 months (if that, I’m a crochet person originally) but its an extremely easy pattern. You use size 10 (3.25mm) needles and size 8 (4mm) needles and its just made up of rib stitch and stocking stitch. I have used a baby lustre 8 ply yarn that I have stashed away in one of my mini bins.

Here is what has been accomplished so far.

Here is the pattern with thanks to the Bacchus Marsh Hospital. If you are interested, I have also popped it up as a pdf that you can download.

* Just a quick note to say that it takes maybe a couple of hours to finish this beanie. If your experienced at knitting, you could probably make it a lot quicker than myself. I finished it this evening and will take a pic on the morrow when I’ve got some natural light for the picture.

**Another pic added of the second beanie I made. Not sure if you can see but this yarn has these really beautiful little silver slugs all the way through it.

Sorry but as this was supplied by the Hospital when my daughter was born, I don’t have the pattern for larger sizes. There are thousands of beanie patterns out there though. Just google “beanie” and what size you would like and I’m sure you will be set.
Cheers, Alana
